What model JD and against what model IH. I have an A Farmall that has outpulled Super A's, JD B's, JD 420 and JD MT's. Personally, I haven't seen an IH tractor lose. I close my eyes before that can happen. But as for the flywheel comment, the JD flywheel is a major factor. That is a lot of weight spinning helping those pistons move. But, it could be the simple fact of where the stock weighting is placed on the stock tractors. If you look at an MT, it has a lot of cast material in the rear. Many factors run into the scenario. Maybe its just the driver or driver skill.
