53 Super MD,sat for at least 8 yrs, amybe longer.Engine is locked up but in all seriousness I think we can free it up.Weve pulled both manifolds and plugs and from what I can see no serious rust in anything, just light ,and I mean light rust on the #4 gas intake valve(I think that is what it is).Question 1,on the intake manifold where what would be the front of the tractor, there are two what appear to be electrical connections, whats this, heater of some sort and how,if any way possible without hooking it up can I check it and if it isnt good, can we do without it?Question 2,wheres the engine serial number, cant find it anywhere?I thought the manifold was busted bad but to my surprise it wasnt busted at all, just a little broke off where the pipe bolts down, but not bad enough to worry about. There was some kind of wadded up leathery looking stuff in it,possibly put in to keep water out years ago, seems to have worked.I have loaed up the cylinders with break fluid and have the rear wheel already blocked up to sit for a while.Question 3:Distributor turns opposite from the gad distributors right,so would the hyd. pump work on my M or not,I an guessing not?Pulling valve cover in hte morning, hope it looks good in there! Thanks!
