Gasket kit may have come with several gaskets, they are used as shims for the end gear clearence. Have over hauled many H, M, C, ect. and left gasket out, decreases end clearence and inproves oil pressure. Also check plate for flateness, diecast ones will warp. Check shaft at top end, have seen these worn and oil getting by there.
