The little genius plow manual that I have shows a length of wire attached to the rope, the wire has a hook bent on the end away from the rope, and the wire is hooked to the rope attachment on the tractor. The wire needs to be made of a relatively soft substance so that if the plow trips, the wire will simply unhook itself from the tractor, and no damage will be done. Never tie the rope directly to the tractor.
