Gary, You can buy new seals from your local IH dealer. I am getting ready to do the same on my H. Apparently, the seal will come out without removing anything except the cover, band and drum. My understanding is that the seal is a bugger to remove and may have to come out in pieces. I think it was The Red who suggested drilling some holes in the seal to weaken it first. I'm thinking of using a small cutting wheel to slice through the main body of the seal in several places (being careful not to reach the casting of course), then drill a hole and put in a lag screw to gain some purchase and try to collapse the seal that way. I'll let you know how and if it works.
