When applying Mylar decals use Windex (in the spray bottle not aerosol). Use a tack cloth to make sure there is no dust in the area where the decal will be applied, spray it liberally with the Windex. You can slide it around at will to get it exactly where you want it (two small pencil marks help) then carefully squeegee the Windex out. A piece of hard rubber works great.
