Russ, You $%^# right, wind does matter. I'm in northern North Dakota, less than 20 miles from the Canadian border, and I speak from experience. Yes, I am familiar with wind chill on human flesh, and realize a tractor does not have human flesh. The fact remains you can get by with a small block heater on an engine out of the wind, but if you have a 35 MPH wind at 30 below zero, a given sized block heater is a lot less effective out in the wind than it is in a shed, at the same ambient temperature. How cold does it get where you live, Russ?
