Aaron: If it were diesel, you probably already have one of the better baler and haybine tractors ever produced. Like you I think the Farmalls being higher give you a better view of everything. However big horse power is not the answer, it will just cost you money, and buying is only part of it. I once baled 9,000 bales with thrower in two days, with Farmalls 300, 130 and a Cockshutt 540. 130 raked the hay, 300 baled and Cockshutt pulled wagons to barn. That hay was all under cover at end of 2 days, not just baled and lieing in field. My wagons were 20 x 8 and I never had any problems on hills behind either tractor. Interestingly enough I later added a 560D, 656D, and 1066. 300 still hold record on my farm for most bales in 2 days. When some of these guys have trouble with a haywagon pushing a 966 on the hills, they must be using 53' highway trailers for haywagons. My 20' wagons held 150 bales from thrower and I've often pulled one to barn with Farmall 130.
