I just repaired a rim that was bad at the valve stem hole. Found a large washer with correct diameter hole, and welded it to rim on the inside, then filled the void on the outside with brazzing also. I did this after sandblasting the rim. I also used JB weld to fill in some areas where there were deep pits. Some experts will say this is a poor way to repair a rim, but my tractor has very limited use. Sometimes you have to tell yourself, this rim isn't any good to me now, and the worst that can happen is it won't be any good to you after you have tried to fix it.
