My question is: Why would you put used oil that has been sitting around for a couple of years back into a tractor? Just because the sludge and water settled out doesn't mean that there aren't other impurities remaining in the oil. The break down of lubricants can not be seen by the naked eye. The few dollars that you saved here could come back to bite you in the future. Not to seem like a jerk but I don't see your solution to the oil change much better than the unscrupulous mechanic. Just my $0.02 worth.
