I would buy it-You did say $100.00? The crack on the outside is of no significance if you plan to use it. I traded for one a couple of years ago that has been patched at. It stays moist, but, doesn't really leak. There is a good chance it also cracked down the left side of the block under the head. There, again, it will not be a bother to you as long as it doesn't leak. I have even seen them replace a cracked head (same freeze job) with one that was not cracked and never have any further problem. When these tractors came out, antifreeze was $7.50 a gallon and a days pay, if you were lucky was $5.00.
