Rod, Having just repacked the fronts on my M, I think you're pretty much right. The dust cover (7) on one side of mine is torn and that bearing will have to be replaced soon. You should be able to drive the bearing races out of the hub using a hammer and pin punch (flat end). I doubt that they are fused in there as the speed necessary to generate that much heat doesen't occur with the normal operation of a tractor. If you are unable to drive them out, you may need to replace the hub, as it might be better than trying to machine them out. The centering of the races to the hub is critical to bearing life.
