Jeff, I believe that resevoir is supposed to be filled with 30 or 40 weight oil, however many of them have bad seals and leak after a few years,probally the reason for the grease which I think is ok,but thats my opinion. I have 2 Hs one has the sector gear the other has teeth all the way around.One good thing the round gear can be repositioned if it is worn where the worm gear runs to tighten up the steering.Ed
