I have a 340 farmall with a wide frontend, 2 pt hitch, live pto, power steering, two remotes, etc. I grew up around the H and the M. Have used a C a few times also. I love this little powerhouse. It has around 35 hp. It will handle most equipment thats around that was ment for the H. The sheet metal for this tractor is hard to find, so that would definatly make a differance on the price. The steering would be it's biggest weak point I think, so I would check that carefully. I gave 2500.00 for mine in 97. It came with a small disk and plow, and 3 pt adapter. It also had all the sheet metal and emblems. I'm in northern michigan. Only around 7000 340's were built, so they don't show up in a srap yard very often for parts, although most are still available from case/Ih. My advice; go for it, you won't be sorry. PUTTER
