The Cub power units used on 50T balers after 1947 didn't have clutches. They used a belt idler on the output for a clutch. The drive was direct from the engine to the output pulley. Look carefully and I think you will find the place for the crank in the center of the pulley.

I don't know if the Continentals used previously used the same system but I think so.
