I had one on an M that was so clogged withdirt from carb to governor that the tractor would rev out and not slow down or respond to the throttle, I cleaned the tube out, lubed it with light oil and the tractor ran fine, the rood may have slipped out of the notch at the carb butterfly when you did the governor........I agree with Red...Mike in Exeter Ontario
