yes the 358 should go right into place of your 310, though i'm not sure about if they start any better since they should both use rotary german bosch pumps. it's hard to say if any motor starts any better than the next motor, since all different variables come into play, ie. fuel quality, injector and pump condition, air temperature, altitude, and most importantly condition of the motor itself.
