I have this knock (loud now), that has almost always been there sincew ive owned it 5 yrs ago. It is so loose and lod that in dying, on the last revolutions you can hear a distenctive clack clack. I took off the portholes and grabbed the connecting arms with no result. I took a prybar and tried to move the crank, one end and the other with no result. Could one of the pistons be wallowed out in the pin hole connecting it with the connecting arm? If so, is there a way of finding out if this is so without taking off the head. Ive thought of taking out the spark plugs, and getting a wire and making an L out of it and checking the depth of each piston from the bottom of the spark plug hole, thinking that if it is wallowed out that the piston wont dome up as far as the rest at top dead center. What is your thoughts? Thansk
