Ray, is it 5th gear it pops out of or all gears? H's are notorious for jumping out of 5th, when the shifter gets worn a bit. My experience with H's is that owners often did not follow the maintenance plan very well. The fingers on the clutch need to be adjusted so they are even with each other and there is about 2-5/32th inch clearance. If you don't have a belly pump it is easy to get at them through the belly pan and they adjust easily. Loosen the jam and turn the bolt until the finger is in the desired position, getting them the same is important. That should give you the release to shift the lever and get the tractor all the way in gear. There could be other problems with the clutch but start there. If you have a belly pump it is more work to remove it but you need to look up in there and see if there is room to adjust those fingers. Good luck from Mike in Exeter Ontario
