Glad to hear it worked fine. I remember the day my dad showed me how to plow about 12 years ago. We used the 300 and 2-14" IH mogul plow. I thought it was the greatest. In our heavy soil, it worked the tractor, and our H wouldn't pull it. We used to use the W4, but it was also to light. The W4 had one great advantage, the front end would only come off the ground until the drawbar hit. Most of the time it was off the ground, and we steered with the brakes. Those tractors sure had some torque! We finally upgraded to the 756D and a 4-16" IH 550 plow. What a difference, although the tractor could be a little bigger. In tough going it is 2 low. We wait until we get an inch of rain and start in about 2 hours later. The rain helps soften the clay. We always plow when the deadfurrow is full of water. Now begins the fun work of smoothing the field. I wish you the best of luck.
