I am not sure if I was clear. I have a 300U. I pulled the metering stem off as you suggested, but only found a seal/ring gasket at the top of the stem. I am able to see beyond the choke plate when I have turned over the motor. The gas seems to be weeping down into the intake area behind the choke plate. Can I have a poor seal around the venturi? A poor seal at the metering needle valve seat? I have been taking the bowl off and on when I try new things and leaving the throttle body on. I am thinking about getting a whole new gasket set once more. If I do so, maybe I will seek out a steel needle valve. Any suggestions before I have to tear the whole carb off and tear it apart for another rebuild are appreciated. What is a reasonable cost to have it rebuilt by a mechanic if I have it off and torn apart already? Thanks

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
