Hydralic Pump Help

Thinking of installing a M+W pump on a 1948 M.D. With this distributor mounted pump would I need to change the cam gears. The pump Iam getting came off a M.D.newer model I suppose. I know in my year there were no distributor pumps available. I also know putting the pumps on Ms you needed to change the cam. Are the older M.Ds able to handle the Pumps without a problem. If anyone knows how to hook up the plumping for this live hydrlics set up it would help. Actually any info. on this idea would be appreciated. thanks
