My friend borrowed my manual and I need some info.
I have a farmall M that will not idle down. I can take the idle speed screw out of the carb but still no change. I took the top (the piece of tin held on by one screw that has the vent tube in it) and pushed the rod down, the engine speed slowed but comes back up when I let go. I looked at the wights and spring and they are in tact. i repair small engines and understand gov. theroy. My question is what is the adjustment procedure for this set up. How do you adj the rod that goes from the gov arm up to the cross tube. I gess one of the screws in there is a high speed limiter, but what about the other?
