Im going to take a guess here,if the engine will run with clutch disengaged and will stop engine when you engage it, sounds like its working like it should.Also if you can roll tractor in neutral
the only parts you're not able to move is clutch shaft, input shaft,counter or lower trans. shaft
and reverse idler gear.Suggest check for filed constant mesh or reverse idler gear or bearings letting shafts out of place.Also if you have belt pulley gear box there is a remote possibility something messed up there and locking input shaft.
