Coils usually have 12 volts written on them if they are 12 volt whereas 6 volt coils have nothing to indicate their voltage. If your tractor has a regulator it would possibly have 12 volts written on it as per the above. Most cutouts were 6 volt but this is not totally consistent. Good luck
