The MCV pump loosing prime is typical of IHC 706-1586. The cause is either a weak pump or a internal leak in the system. I've found that if you remove the flow divider completely, largest plug facing toward back of tractor (nut, spring and spool) then just crank the engine until oil squirts out, if you start the engine you will get a gusher when it primes. If you didn't have any trouble before then it probably will be OK untill it sets without use again.
