The early 706 had the D282 same as 560 only turned up. the later 706 had the German D310 both good eng. but the 310 was better in my opinion. The D282 will have glow plugs the D310 won't. I have a 706,756, both D310 and a 460 with a D236 same eng as D282 with a longer stroke. The 310 will start much easer.
