Question for Guy Fay or anyone else

Guy,
I am restoring a SW6TAD, I know by the chassis serial plate it was the 233 SW6 made. I run into the problem when I try to research the engine serial #. The cast code dates its manufacturing at 12-23-53(engine). I know that there was no attempt to match the numbers but the engine serial number is not even in the sequence. That # is 8625. After pressure washing and blowing off old paint I found the original color to be yellow with a white primer. I then checked against the Trac-Tractors and still can't find an origin for the #. The engine is properly stamped with the D-264 so that ruled out other possibilities. Have you in your research found any info to help clear up this mystery. Thanks ED
