North of Fargo, I just dropped the wide front end with the big steel plate on my 1944 M. It's not too big a deal. Used a jack stand under it and unbolted and let her down. I bolted a six inch angle iron 3 feet tall and six inch wide to the side rails, one each side to hold the tractor up while I removed front end. Worked like a charm. I added live power, rebuilt water pump and cleaned radiator and installed new drain pipe. This front end has been on about 60 years. Good Luck with yours and be careful, they are a little heavy.
