we added a turbo to our 966 several years ago. our planning started a few years before that. one very important part to adding a turbo is to have the upper oil passages drilled out to help with cooling the upper part of the piston. non factory turboed tractors will not have this done. so when we over hauled the 966 engine the guy doing the work pulled the crank and drilled them out. he also put in a bigger oil pump, bigger fan. later when the turbo was added most of the work was taken care of. the exhaust manifold was moved slightly as the exhaust hole thru the sheet metal had to be moved and a bigger exhaust stack is used. the tractor dynoed 125 hp. you can go higher but for us this was enough. we have had not any problems. also install a pryometer to monitor the exhaust temp. you could melt stuff if you're not careful. good luck! Duane
