I agree, it's not the engine that I worry about its the rear end. Ask how long the ring gear lasts on those 1066's that have been turned up?

IH make great engines but didn't make the trans heavy enough on the 66's or 86's to withstand what the engine could put out if turned up.

If you need just 10hp I'd adjust the fuel injection system. if you need more look for a bigger tractor. The 966 was always a very good tractor - lots of power and torque rise. Could a filter be partically blocked?
