My 140 slips out of gear with only the slightest of pull and the 2 gear is doing the same. My brother and law own the tractor together and he had a fellow he knows take the tractor apart. He said a bolt had come loose and apparently eat up a gear or so and we should rebuild the entire transmission..He gave a price of 1300.00 parts and 1300 labor. Sounds as high as a georgia pine to me..I dont see many questions on 140's but we have a lot of them in the piedmont section of NC. Anyone have any suggestions? I "aint" spending that much money on that tractor. Sheet metal needs work. Has a new clutch and motor runs good. Can you buy reconditioned transmissions?? Thanks for any help. Dennis
