I put a new clutch in a Lo Boy 154 for a fella, and played with it for a couple of days. It has a 50" (?) Woods deck on it, and I was not too impressed with the power. If ya want to stay with the Golden Oldies, I suspect a Super A would do ya nicely. It's not a great deal bigger than the lowboy, dimensions-wise, but has quite a lot more power. I can't see what the advantage to a lowboy would be, but perhaps LTF in NC would expand on that. I've never mowed with a Super A, which is quite a bit taller, so I'm probably missing something. The Super A would do a nice job of plowing for ya too.
