BB: The 1501 loader is shown in the 1968 IH buyers guide, it was not a new loader at that time. That was also the last year of 404 production. It is a neat compact little loader. In the buyers guide it mentions tractors IH 275, 414 and 434. It also indicates the MF 35 and 50. Then it goes on to describe the loader for 50 hp. That all doesn't add up. I have had a bit to do with these loaders and can't see why it wouldn't fit a 404 utility, may take some modifications. They are a tremendous lifting loader for their size. My neighbor had one on a 444 and it would pick up a ton on a pallet. Now you had to be awfully careful, lots of ballast on the three point.
