I own a 444 and have worked with 2 others. There is only one hydraulic pump on the engine. A priority diverter valve provides hydraulics for the power steering. My 444 also has a front mounted pump and a 2050 loader, works great. But my friends 444 runs his 2000 loader from the engine mounted pump and it works fine.
