The point gap is 0.013. You turn the magneto so the moveable contact is on the high point of the cam, and slide the stationary contact up or down until the point gap is at 0.013, and lock down the point. Use a clean feeler gauge, free of all oil, and don't even get oil from your skin on the points by touching them, for longest life. For the R or L setting, you'll need to post back with the model of tractor the mag is from. I believe most IH mags run RH, but the mag drives on certain engines are exceptions, and turn LH. Actually, you can determine this by holding the mag upright, in normal operating position, and turning the impulse coupling by hand. In one direction, it will "latch", and the impulse spring will begin to wind up. This is operating direction. When turned the incorrect direction, there will be resistance that comes and goes due to the magnets passing the pole pieces, but no "latch up" of the impulse. If the impulse latches when you turn the mag clockwise (with you facing the drive coupling), the mag is RH, so set the beveled tooth to match the "R" mark, and obviously if the opposite is true, use the "L" mark. In either case, you line up the L or R, whichever is appropriate, with the notched tooth on the little gear. The "little pill" contains cam lubricant for the cam that operates the points. I can't recall if these have a wick that rubs on the cam, if they do, put a reasonable amount of the lube on the leading edge of the wick, so as the cam turns in it's normal direction, it will pull some of the grease under the wick, and keep the cam lubed. If no wick, put a SMALL amount on the fiber rubbing block on the moveable contact arm, that contacts the cam. I hope I got the R and L correct, and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong!
