The fire dept I run with has a 1949 KB 6 that they bought new. Has around 20,000 miles on it and runs like the day it was new. A few years back it was re-painted and lettered (gold leaf) and had some motor work done. It is not in service anymore but turns a lot of heads at parades. Very sharp truck. Only trouble we have with it is keeping the brakes working and I think that is from lack of regular use (only gets run about 6 times a year).
