I spent one summer mowing at a local power station using a Cub Cadet 1720 Hydro with 42" deck, and I agree with using the hydro. There's no beating it. The tractor also had a Kohler engine(10-12 HP?), and it performed like a champ, in spite of the lack of maintenance and care the permanent employees gave it.
