I showed that auction to someone who knows e-bay better than I. The seller opened the bidding at $6,000 when he first listed it. Seller got a bid soon after. Opening bidder is only required to meet the opening bid so his current bid is equal to the opening bid but will go higher if someone else bids. If you check the bid history the bid amount for wsc8110 is shown as a dash. There is an undisclosed amount behind that dash. The e-bay system will automatically increment his bid if someone else bids, but not to esceed the undisclosed amount. That's how they do it so you don't have to watch an auction 24/7.
