I had a model 31 on a Super H also. The easiest way for me to tell the difference is on the crossover support at the steering wheel; the model 30 has a vertical component (made of angle iron), where the model 31 is flat stock. They would interchange between the M/H and Supers M/H by just adding a 1" thick block on each side where it bolted to the front bolster on the H models because they were thinner than the M's. The extension blocks you are referring to are to take into acct the longer length of the MTA and the hundred series tractors because of the TA. I've never put them side by side to measure, but heard there is about 4" difference in length (which matched what I saw when moving a loader once from a 400 to a Super M). Stan(VA).
