Opinion on Cub Price

A local dealer has a early 50's Mccormick cub on consignment. The tractor is in my opinion in rough shape, lots of surface rust, sheet metal has lots of small dents, battery box missing, tires fair, steering shaft top bushing missing/worn out, engine is wet (oil) on both sides. Assuming that it runs. Has a 5'Woods belly mower and a front blade. Asking $2300.00. Would really like to get a cub but in my estimation the price is to high. Am I off base with my thinking. Thanks in advance for any opinions/guidance. Dave
