OK fellas... This is what I did...I reversed the battery connects, etc so that the lights, etc work now with the positive-ground. I disconnected the battery, disconnected the BAT and F wires off of the regulator, reconnected the battery, touched the BAT and F wires to each other, and then reconnected them to their own original terminals. After doing this, the tractor cranked over a few times as I pulled the starter (during which time the needle on the voltmeter dipped into the negative - this is correct, yes?). The tractor didn't start and the starter motor refused to crank anymore, but the lights were still bright. This tractor purred this past weekend, now nothing...I'm wondering if a season's use with the battery connected backwards could fry it so the cold cranking amp capacity would be significantly reduced? There are no other missed electrical connections, the tractor, as I said purred all weekend long with no problems, and there are no other mechanical problems. Should I just buy a new battery here? I've tried charging it... What am I missing? The differential and oil cups have all ben lubed / filled...ARGH! (Thanks for your help so far fellas...) Pete
