Since I'm having my IH350U converted to 12v, I too am concerned with this issue. I remembered reading somewhere in these posts about the proper ohms that should be measurable across the coil, but evidently am not looking in the right place. The article in the archiving on converting to 12 volt is good, and says that the 6v coil can be used, but does not mention just what size resistor to use and what the final resistance should be.
