JB, yes it was the 584, I should have said that in the beginning. I will try what you suggested, it was at the end of the day so I just pulled the tractor and spreader up to the barn and shut it off. I suspect since I haven't used the differential lock much that it is just dry or maybe has some rust on the pedal pivots. Thanks......Mike in Exeter Ontario
