The water you drained is probably condensation, and no, Hy-Tran will not absorb it. The only fluid I can think of that will absorb water is brake fluid, which is alcohol based. Personally, I would follow Farm-Al's advice and drain/refill the whole thing. A lot cheaper than a rebuild. Like the ad says, "you can pay me now or you can PAY me later".
