They made and you can still find 1, 2 &3 bottom trail plows. They are either hydraulic lift or mechanical lift. Although the SM was rated for a 3 bottom plow, it depends on the moldboard size. Plows come in several board sizes, 12 inch, 14 inch , 16in and even 18 inch. It would hurry a SM to pull a 3 bottom 16 inch plow in Pa. sod where we live. If you only need to plow a little, I would get a set of 16 inch 2 bottoms. Also be careful of the age of the plow because the cost of points etc. is pricy and you will break them. Stick to the newer versions with the throw away point that cost about $20 each.
