Hugh, I use the lottery system to pay my bills. Every month I putt all the bills in a hat and then blindly draw them out until I run out of money. The rest I leave in the hat so that next month that bill has a 2-1 advbantage. Seriously, I would agree with you except that any of us with 401-K retirement plans or who invest in IRA's depend on the companies we invest in to operate at a profit, and operate without cooking the books or being able to trade their own stock at an advantage not available to the rest of us. Twenty years ago, it could be said that there was "Corporate America" and then there was the rest of us, because we had long term employment with long term retirement plans. Even then our pension funds were invested in corporate stocks, sometimes in the company we worked for. Since the average employment with any one company has gone from 15 to 20 years or more to an average of less than 5 years before moving on, both hourly and salaried workers have invested more into their own pensions and retirement than they did 20 yrs ago. Of course, the stock market is a gamble if we go for the high risk stocks, but there is money to be made in investing in stock as long as we don't invest it all in one place. I for one would rather take my chances with Corporate America than to give it to the government in the form of taxes and expect it to put my well being in its hands. Nobody has ever gotten rich on whatever stipend they recieve from the government. Gee, Hugh, wouldnt this be a great coffee conversation? And to think I could have been spending this time working on my tractor.

He had over a period of months spent a fair amount of his hard earned cash on replacement parts for the old "trembler" ignition. Sadly though all his efforts seemed to be a waste of time and money as he still couldn''t get the temperamental old thing to run correctly!! If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
