Brian - Advice below is right on. But another quick way to identify a "super" is to look at the last character of date code on the major castings (block, transmission, rear axle, bolster, etc.). It tells you the day/month/year each part was cast, and is usually - though not always - a few weeks earlier than the tractor's actual build date. If an M is a super the date code should be X or Y corresponding to 1952 and '53. Date code Z (1954) is OK too but it overlaps with the Super MTA (built only in '54). Letters lower than X in the alphabet correspond to earlier, pre-Super years.
