Farmallkid, I paid $4500 for mine with an aftermarket 3pth, aftermarket dual remote hydraulic system and great tires all around. The Tractor market in New England is a good example of what Duane suggests. Because of their low maufacturing numbers, (+/-26,000) live power and hydraulics, T/A, and the nitch they fill in the IH history; you can't really compare SMTA value to an M or SM. A fully restored SMD maybe, but again, they are special beast's. Even the 400 series will sell for less than an SMTA. The SMTA is a good iron investment and a hard working machine. Good luck to you and your pal. Jared
