Kevin. Sam is quite correct on this there are the two types. I have one of the same type as Sam's here. It came on a Super A I once owned, and someone welded it trying to make the rigid type, but not getting it straight or I should say even in the process. I tried to straighten it once, finally gave up and decided it was cheaper to either fabricate a new one or buy another one. I did find a rigid one in the end.
